Hands-on full-stack lead engineer supporting asset management business partners and building cloud-based applications and analytics/models.
The role covers the full development cycle and application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Key responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders on requirements, project goals, impact analysis, solution design, and effort estimates.
- Guide development teams through code reviews and technical direction.
- Build web applications, REST APIs, backend services, and responsive interfaces using Python, React, SQL, and AWS.
- Prepare technical designs and specifications, and follow coding standards and SDLC processes.
- Develop unit tests; support integration testing, UAT, and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot issues, provide production support and enhancements, and maintain technical and project documentation.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on Python, React.js, SQL, and AWS experience; Python frameworks may include FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with AWS EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway.
- Experience with REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform experience are preferred.
- AWS certification is preferred.
- Cloud-native and microservices experience is preferred.
Work arrangement
- Employees work in the office at least three days per week, with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
- Some roles may have additional or different in-office expectations.
Work schedule
- Full-time role with stated working hours of 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
