Lead Experience Designer

Role overview

Design and research

• Lead end-to-end design, facilitate discovery workshops, map user journeys, create concept visualizations, and build interactive prototypes.
• Work in parallel with engineering and validate designs with working prototypes rather than static handoffs.
• Shape conversational, multimodal, and autonomous agent flows with attention to trust, transparency, user control, uncertainty, and responsible AI guardrails.
• Use AI tools to accelerate ideation and research without compromising craft or usability.
• Conduct lightweight generative and evaluative research, support continuous validation, and champion accessibility and inclusive design.
• Build and govern design systems and component libraries in partnership with engineering.

Client and practice leadership

• Advise client executives on experiences for AI-native products, data platforms, and complex digital transformations.
• Support consultative pre-sales by shaping engagements, creating proposals, and establishing client relationships.
• Help build local design capability, culture, multidisciplinary teams, and early client relationships in the Middle East.
• Build the local design community and serve as an external voice for the design practice in the region.

Technical qualifications

• Requires 8+ years of product design experience and a portfolio showing strong visual design, UX reasoning, rapid prototyping, and ownership of shipped digital products.
• Requires a track record leading design on large-scale programs and 0-to-1 launches and navigating senior stakeholder groups.
• Requires expertise in user research, journey mapping, wireframing, and lean rapid prototyping to validate desirability, viability, and feasibility.
• Requires fluency in AI- and data-driven product design and use of AI-enabled design tools in daily work.
• Requires experience applying human-centered design and innovation at organizational scale, particularly in economic or digital transformation contexts.
• Requires a strong grounding in accessibility, inclusive design, and responsive or adaptive design across devices and contexts.
• Experience or experimentation with conversational interfaces, including AI chat, task-oriented assistants, voice, or multimodal experiences, is sought.

Professional qualifications

• KSA or Middle East design experience is sought, or strong experience developing products for Riyadh or the Middle East.
• Requires skill in executive stakeholder relationships and conversations across design, technology, and business strategy.
• Requires consultative selling and senior client leadership experience, including diagnosing needs, co-creating solutions, and building trusted-advisor relationships.
• Requires strong workshop facilitation and clear communication of design rationale to technical and executive audiences.
