Improve reliability, productivity, asset efficiency, and safe refinery operations through rotating-equipment expertise.
Engineering and asset support
- Develop strategies and engineering solutions to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and support installations, upgrades, and expansions.
- Support plant assets throughout their lifecycle, including maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency breakdowns.
- Prepare design modifications, in-house modification packages, calculations, studies, technical documents, and work instructions.
- Visit the plant and coordinate with operations, maintenance, reliability, and other stakeholders to resolve equipment issues.
- Investigate equipment and system failures, lead root cause analysis, and recommend actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead complex maintenance, repair, and overhauls of compressors, pumps, turbines, fans, and blowers.
- Oversee vibration monitoring and machinery diagnostics to predict failures and optimize maintenance schedules.
- Support plant acceptance tests, risk assessments, and verification of equipment modifications.
- Improve maintenance strategies, preventive and predictive task lists, capital spares, standards, and procedures.
- Review proposals and incident reports; ensure solutions comply with applicable API, ASME, ISO, and safety requirements.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer certification from a recognized engineering institute.
- 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on MRO experience with critical refinery machinery and expertise in rotating assets, diagnostics, vibration analysis, and RCA.
Work environment
- The role includes frequent plant visits and technical support for refinery operations and maintenance.
