Lead Engineer (.Net + Angular)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Deliver software through design, coding, testing, and documentation, independently or with the team.
• Test-drive and implement complex features to a high standard and on time.
• Review team code, suggest improvements, and refactor existing code to improve quality.
• Work with architects to review and propose architectural changes and ensure quality implementation.
• Work with business analysts to estimate workload, choose technical solutions, and refine requirements into actionable artifacts.
• Interact constructively with other IT teams; provide technical recommendations and solve technical problems.

Required experience and qualifications

• Engineering graduate or postgraduate qualification and at least 10 years of total experience.
• At least two years as a hands-on lead providing technical solutions to a team.
• Experience developing end-to-end web applications using Microsoft technologies; strong .NET web application knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, UML, object-oriented programming and design, and n-tier architecture.
• Experience on at least one service-oriented architecture project.
• Working knowledge of .NET, C#, MVC, WCF REST, Web API, nUnit or MS Unit, and Entity Framework.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, Angular 2 or above, Jasmine, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL databases and PowerShell.
• Agile experience is requested, preferably Scrum; the posting also lists TDD, BDD, UML, unit testing, UI testing frameworks, and WPF.
• Strong English communication and writing skills, collaboration across cultures, and problem-solving ability.

Additional technical skills

• Experience with ESB or Message Queuing (MSMQ) is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with WPF and UI testing frameworks is listed.
