Lead Accounting Associate role focused on project accounting.

Accounting and reporting
- Follow company policies, procedures, US GAAP, statutory requirements, and SOX controls.
- Maintain project setup and close records and supporting evidence; prepare contract-based client invoices.
- Report month-end project performance, gross margin variances, and other financial information.
- Monitor receivables, payables, unbilled and unearned items, and days sales outstanding.
- Prepare revenue adjustment, cost accrual, and loss provision journal entries.
Project support and improvement
- Support project teams throughout project lifecycles and resolve matters with departments, clients, and vendors.
- Meet deadlines and participate in internal and external audits.
- Prepare project analyses and ad hoc reports, interpret accounting data, and recommend actions.
- Solve straightforward and medium-complexity problems and propose process and system improvements.
- May train new joiners and provide guidance to coworkers.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance or Accounting, an equivalent major, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of professional accounting experience; international business experience preferred and project accounting is an asset.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- ERP experience, especially Oracle Financials, and very good MS Excel knowledge.
- Advanced analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Work arrangement
- Hybrid work policy allows employees to split the week between Jacobs offices or projects and remote locations.
