GlobalLogic is seeking a 5G Developer with hands-on Layer 2 protocol stack development experience.
The role focuses on designing and improving gNB RAN solutions and high-performance 5G NR software.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Layer 2 MAC, RLC, and PDCP protocols for 5G NR using 3GPP specifications.
- Optimize throughput, latency, and CPU and memory usage.
- Integrate Layer 2 components with Layer 1 PHY and Layer 3 teams.
- Debug protocol stack issues using logs, Wireshark, QXDM, or custom parsers.
- Improve RAN software products and development processes.
- Maintain product quality and address issues proactively.
- Contribute to traffic control software development for RAN solutions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of gNB RAN development experience focused on 5G and advanced technologies.
- C or C++ proficiency with embedded or real-time systems experience on RTOS or Linux.
- Strong knowledge of multithreading, synchronization, and system optimization.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with O-RAN, Layer 1 PHY, or Layer 3 RRC integration.
- Python or Bash scripting experience.
- Understanding of Lean, Agile, modern DevOps practices, containerized environments, or automated test frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning applied to telecom or software engineering.
