Laundry Supervisor

Role overview

Production and quality

• Coordinate daily production and allocate tasks and manpower across production areas based on workload and priorities.
• Monitor sorting, washing, drying, pressing, finishing, folding, packing, and dispatch preparation.
• Ensure correct garment processing and care, including delicate, premium, and special-care items.
• Monitor output, productivity, turnaround time, and quality; inspect garments and address defects, rewashes, damage, stains, and processing errors.

Team, equipment, and operations

• Train, coach, and supervise operators; monitor attendance, punctuality, performance, and procedure compliance.
• Ensure safe and proper use of machines, equipment, chemicals, and workstations; coordinate machine repairs with maintenance.
• Maintain washing formulas and chemical usage; follow HSE, hygiene, housekeeping, and workplace safety standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions and improvements to increase efficiency and reduce wastage.
• Maintain production records and shift handovers; escalate operational, quality, staffing, and equipment issues to the Laundry Manager.
• Coordinate garment movement with other departments and enforce company policies, SOPs, and work instructions.

Experience and education

• 3–5 years of laundry operations experience, preferably in commercial laundry, hotel laundry, garment care, or a similar environment.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is required.
• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Laundry Management, Hospitality, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial laundry processes, laundry chemicals, washing formulas, and garment-care procedures is required.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills for production reporting and operational documentation.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
