Role Purpose
Hands-on data scientist working across data science and CRM to build predictive retention models and execute lifecycle campaigns.
Develop churn and LTV models, run A/B experiments, and translate model outputs into campaigns and growth insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain churn prediction, LTV, and propensity models from feature engineering through CRM consumption.
- Design machine-learning customer segmentation, including clustering and behavioural scoring, for personalised retention campaigns.
- Design and analyse A/B tests across onboarding, activation, churn prevention, and win-back touchpoints.
- Execute and optimise retention campaigns across email, SMS, push, and in-app channels.
- Use SQL to analyse customer behaviour and monitor churn, LTV, W4/W10 cohorts, and repeat purchase rate.
- Present recommendations to the Growth Director and CEO; collaborate with the Data Engineer on pipeline architecture and the Growth Analyst on segmentation.
Experience and Qualifications
- Three to five years in data science or growth analytics, with at least two years focused on retention or lifecycle.
- Python with pandas, scikit-learn, and statsmodels; advanced SQL.
- Statistics expertise including experiment design, significance testing, and survival analysis for churn.
- Hands-on experience with a CRM or marketing automation platform such as CleverTap, Braze, or an equivalent.
- Experience in an on-demand, marketplace, or subscription business is preferred.
