Laboratory Technician

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Test soil, rock, and construction materials in accordance with approved standards and procedures.
• Prepare, handle, identify, and store test samples and specimens.
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain valid calibration for accurate, precise, reliable results.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Laboratory Technology, Civil Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with testing standards and methodologies such as BS, ASTM, ISO, BS EN, and ISRM.
• Computer literate, with basic knowledge of laboratory equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
