Role context

Freight and shipment coordination

• Arrange and coordinate end-to-end freight forwarding for import and export shipments.
• Plan delivery and collection of goods and assets to meet project schedules and business needs.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders for timely, cost-effective cargo movement.
• Obtain competitive quotations, monitor logistics service performance, and contribute to departmental and global KPIs.

Customs, documentation, and compliance

• Ensure import and export activities comply with company procedures and customs and legal authority requirements.
• Prepare, review, and issue accurate written shipment clearance instructions; apply HS Codes, procedure codes, and shipping terms correctly.
• Verify customs brokers’ and agents’ data entries against paperwork and clearance instructions; review declarations, invoices, and packing lists.
• Resolve discrepancies involving valuation, HS Codes, shipping costs, insurance, or shipment instructions.
• Maintain required customs approvals, licenses, and authorizations; reinforce quality, health, safety, sustainability, environmental, and legal compliance.

Process and cost improvement

• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and recommend improved routing, consolidation, and strategic service-provider partnerships.
• Work with global entities and internal stakeholders to implement logistics process improvements and best practices.

Requirements

• Knowledge of JAFZA Customs, Free Zone documentation, BOE, LGP, commercial invoices, COO, MOFA, Dubai Customs, Dubai Municipality, and MOCCAE documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage competing tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
