Overview
Oversee the overall operations of the concrete laboratory and ensure efficient workflow in accordance with approved standards.
Ensure all raw materials (cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures) comply with required specifications before use.
Design, develop, and approve concrete mix designs to meet project requirements for strength and durability.
Supervise and monitor all laboratory and field tests such as slump test, compressive strength, density, and other relevant tests.
Review and analyze test results to ensure compliance with applicable standards (ASTM, BS, or local standards).
Prepare and issue accurate and timely quality control reports to management and project teams.
Coordinate with production and site engineers to ensure consistent concrete quality during batching and delivery.
Investigate non-conformance cases or rejected concrete and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure regular calibration and proper maintenance of all laboratory equipment and instruments.
Implement and maintain Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards within the laboratory.
Train, supervise, and develop laboratory technicians to enhance technical performance.
Monitor laboratory inventory and ensure availability of testing materials and equipment.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.
Continuously improve laboratory processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality performance.
