Laboratory Manager – Material Testing
About This Role
Job Summary
We are looking for a Laboratory Manager with a strong business development orientation to oversee laboratory operations while driving growth in laboratory testing services and lab equipment (sales/support). The role requires a blend of technical expertise in material testing and commercial acumen to expand business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory operations for construction material testing (concrete, soil, asphalt, steel) ensuring compliance with ASTM, BS, ISO, and ISO 17025 standards
- Drive business development for testing services and laboratory equipment (supply, calibration, AMC)
- Generate leads, prepare proposals, and close deals with contractors, consultants, laboratories, and industrial clients
- Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance, audits, and team management to ensure quality and efficiency
- Act as techno-commercial interface between clients and lab, ensuring service delivery, client satisfaction, and revenue growth
