Join a new-to-bank onboarding team supporting investment banking clients across EMEA.
Review and challenge KYC files completed by frontline analysts before client approval.
Help improve the wider onboarding function by identifying recurring errors and shaping training and workflow improvements.
Responsibilities
- Review new-to-bank investment banking KYC files for accuracy, completeness and compliance with global standards and UK and EU regulatory top-ups.
- Assess ownership, control and risk in complex structures and transactions, including SPVs and advisory mandates.
- Identify recurring analyst errors and trace root causes to training or workflow issues.
- Contribute findings to training content, procedural updates and control enhancements.
- Partner with Front Office and Sales, Compliance and Operations stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.
- Apply global AML legislation and EMEA requirements to support defensible onboarding decisions.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in KYC quality assurance, quality control or checker work.
- Investment banking experience is essential.
- Knowledge of investment banking transactions, SPV structures, advisory transactions and associated KYC considerations.
- Knowledge of global AML legislation and EMEA regulations, including UK and EU requirements.
- Strong control mindset and attention to detail.
- Confident communication and ability to challenge stakeholders across departments.
- Dow Jones screening tool experience is a plus, not a core requirement.
Contract
- The role has an initial four-month contract.
Workplace
- Hybrid working, with three days in the London office.
