Client procurement work
- Drive client-engagement workstreams for specific categories.
- Support spend analysis, TCO/should-cost modeling, contract analysis, supplier identification, and savings-lever identification.
- Develop sourcing strategies, manage and analyze requests for quotes, develop negotiation strategies, and create tracking mechanisms.
- Support client proposals and client-development activities.
- Travel extensively to client locations.
Capability development
- Develop and maintain procurement capabilities, including assets, knowledge, tools, fact packs, case studies, and primers.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology required; master's degree preferred and MBA in operations advantageous.
- At least 3 years of procurement or consulting experience.
- Expertise in sourcing, supplier management, category management, costing, negotiations, and PO management.
- E-procurement tools experience is advantageous; examples include spend analysis, RFQ tools, costing, and eAuctions.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant analytics/statistical software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; teamwork, curiosity, and solid business knowledge.
Industry focus
Work may span Banking & Financial Services, Basic Materials, Consumer Goods, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, and Travel, Transport & Logistics.
