Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders to reduce downtime.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition.
• Identify maintenance improvements and efficient practices that support energy conservation.
• Follow health, safety, and hotel engineering standards during repairs.
• Collaborate with Kitchen and Laundry teams to resolve technical issues and maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Perform other assigned maintenance duties.

Requirements

• Vocational certificate or diploma in engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a related field, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lb (23 kg), and to bend, walk, and stand frequently during shifts.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematics ability.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards; knowledge of occupational safety regulations is required.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and basic plumbing.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, basic welding, and brazing.
• Good communication skills, a proactive attitude, and ability to work across departments.

Schedule

• Shift work may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
