Junior Software Developer

About the opportunity

What you'll do

• Build, test, and ship features and fixes across internal web applications, including databases, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Help maintain enterprise-system API integrations and learn Azure deployment across test and production environments.
• Use Git, pull requests, and CI/CD; work directly with users to understand needs and improve software.
• Contribute to tools for engineering and environmental teams and correctly handle multi-entity data and documents.
• Follow security, data-handling, and code-quality standards; write documentation and tests.
• Support production applications and triage bugs.

Required qualifications

• Degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, or a related field completed within the last two years or by the start date.
• Demonstrated ability to build web applications in a modern stack, such as C#/.NET or Node/TypeScript, React or similar, and SQL.
• Hands-on understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and Git.
• Cloud experience is a plus, not a requirement.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants and discipline to understand and test their output.
• Clear communication, curiosity, good questions, and motivation to learn are expected.

Preferred qualifications

• A co-op or internship term building software in a business setting.
• Exposure to Azure, Entra ID, or Microsoft 365 development.
• A portfolio, GitHub, or capstone project to walk through.
• Interest in engineering, science, or data-heavy problems.
