About This Role

About Gulf Associates Gulf Associates provides commercial advice for companies, family groups, and sovereign entities. We focus on the decisions that define a regional position: market entry, partnerships, transactions, and the operational adjustments that follow. Our work is grounded in the actual behavior of counterparties, sponsors, and regulators. Clients typically reach out when high stakes decisions matter more than receiving another market report.

Our team works closely with owners and executives to deliver a position they can act on, supported by clear reasoning. By design, we maintain a small book of active engagements to ensure senior bandwidth is always available for the conversations where decisions are made. We prefer a direct approach and are comfortable being measured on actual commercial outcomes, such as what gets agreed or built. This focus on practical judgment allows us to support both international groups and regional enterprises.

About The Role The Junior Program Coordinator is an entry level position designed to support our advisory team. In this role, you will act as the logistical and administrative backstop for our client engagements. You will be responsible for ensuring that the information flow between our researchers and senior advisors is clear, timely, and accurate. Because we work with a limited number of clients on sensitive matters, your work will directly contribute to the reliability of the advice we provide.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate the internal scheduling for project milestones and ensure all team members are aware of upcoming deadlines.
  • Conduct preliminary research on counterparties, market trends, and regulatory changes using public records and internal databases.
  • Draft and format internal memos, briefing notes, and presentation decks to make them ready for senior review.
  • Maintain our internal document filing system to ensure all client records and research materials are easily accessible and secure.
  • Attend internal project meetings to take detailed notes, capturing key decisions and action items for the team.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts or data gaps early in the project lifecycle and flag them to the appropriate advisor.
  • Support the preparation of periodic updates for clients by gathering relevant data points from various team members.

What We Are Looking For

  • A high level of comfort with remote work and the ability to manage your own schedule without constant supervision.
  • Strong writing skills with a focus on being concise and clear rather than using overly academic or corporate language.
  • An analytical mindset that looks for facts and evidence rather than making assumptions.
  • Discretion and a professional understanding of how to handle sensitive commercial information.
  • Proficiency with standard office software, particularly for document formatting and basic data organization.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, such as suggesting a better way to organize a shared folder or a project timeline.
  • Ability to process feedback quickly and apply it to the next task.

What Success Looks Like In your first few months, success means becoming a reliable point of contact for the senior advisors. You will have a clear grasp of our project timelines and will provide briefing materials that require minimal stylistic correction. You will demonstrate an ability to anticipate what a senior team member needs before a meeting, such as a summary of previous discussions or a specific piece of research. Over time, you will develop a deeper understanding of the commercial logic we use to advise our clients.

How We Work Our firm operates on the principles of directness and clarity. We do not use jargon to hide a lack of insight. We expect everyone, regardless of their level of seniority, to speak plainly and focus on the commercial reality of a situation. Because we are a fully remote team, communication is our most important tool. We prioritize written clarity and rely on each other to be responsive and dependable. We value people who are curious about how businesses actually operate and who take pride in the accuracy of their work.

What The Role Offers

  • A fully remote workplace that allows you to manage your work environment.
  • Direct exposure to the thinking and decision making processes of senior advisors and commercial leaders.
  • Clear, professional feedback aimed at helping you improve your analytical and writing skills.
  • A professional environment free from unnecessary corporate bureaucracy or complicated internal politics.
  • The opportunity to work on complex, high stakes commercial projects where your coordination efforts have a visible impact.
  • Regular working hours that respect your time while maintaining a high standard for output.
