Junior Procurement Officer - Villa Construction

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Source construction materials, equipment, tools, and consumables; obtain quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
• Coordinate material needs with site engineers and project managers; prepare purchase orders and track approvals.
• Follow up on supplier orders, availability, delivery schedules, and site deliveries.
• Maintain supplier databases, price lists, procurement records, invoices, quotations, and delivery notes.
• Compare price, specifications, quality, and delivery terms; ensure compliance with approved project requirements.
• Verify deliveries with site teams and storekeepers; track consumption, stock, and outstanding requests.
• Follow up with accounts on supplier invoices and payment documents; support cost control, avoid delays, and reduce waste.

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is listed as a qualification.
• 1–2 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction or villa projects.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and supplier markets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication; ERP or procurement software experience is advantageous.
• Good communication, negotiation, coordination, and organizational skills; able to manage multiple requests and meet deadlines.
• UAE driving licence is advantageous if site and supplier visits are required.

Construction materials and skills

• Materials include cement, concrete, sand, aggregates, reinforcement steel, blocks, bricks, plastering, and waterproofing products.
• Other materials include tiles, stone, sanitary ware, paints, gypsum, ceiling and decorative finishes, doors, windows, aluminum, and glass.
• Electrical, plumbing, HVAC-related supplies, construction tools, safety equipment, and general consumables.
• Key skills include supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase order follow-up, cost control, procurement records, inventory, and delivery coordination.

Performance expectations

Compensation

• AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
