Junior Finance Officer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage student fee collections, payment plans, invoicing, and receipting.
• Explain tuition fees, payment schedules, and financial procedures to students and parents.
• Process payments through POS terminals, bank transfers, cash deposits, direct debits, and online channels.
• Maintain student financial records and ensure transactions are recorded in SAP.
• Prepare daily collection reports, reconcile transactions, and support financial reporting.
• Generate and monitor digital payment links and QR-code transactions.
• Respond to inquiries about payments, outstanding balances, and financial matters.
• Follow university financial policies, internal controls, and confidentiality requirements.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve student account and payment issues.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant Finance, Accounts Receivable, or Student Finance experience in an education organization or other relevant setting.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only is mandatory.
• Practical experience in student fee collections, payment processing, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Customer service, communication, interpersonal, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Desirable qualifications

• Hands-on SAP ERP experience is desirable.
• UAE education sector experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with student finance systems, digital payment platforms, and financial reporting is desirable.
