Qualifications
- Educational and Technical Qualifications:
- Secondary School.
- Second Mate's Certificate of Competency (COC).
- Language Skills:
- Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
- Years of Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Nature of Experience:
- Seafaring experience as a Junior Officer.
Responsibilities
- Core Responsibilities: • Stand watch as per the ship's watchkeeping schedule. • Assist in navigation and piloting the vessel. • Maintain navigational charts and publications. • Monitor vessel systems and equipment. • Participate in emergency drills and exercises. • Assist in cargo operations, including loading, discharging, and lashing. • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the ship. • Assist in the maintenance and repair of deck equipment. • Prepare and submit navigational reports and logs. • Comply with international maritime regulations and company procedures.
