Role overview
Junior design engineer supporting electrical project design and engineering deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical designs, single-line diagrams, layouts, load schedules, and cable schedules.
- Support load, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, and equipment sizing calculations.
- Prepare and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist senior engineers with BOQs, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate electrical requirements across civil, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review vendor drawings, equipment datasheets, and technical submittals under senior engineer guidance.
- Check designs against applicable IS, IEC, IEEE, NFPA standards, and project requirements.
- Help resolve design issues, drawing discrepancies, and site-related technical queries.
- Maintain engineering documents, drawing revisions, calculations, and project records.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, vendors, and project teams to complete deliverables on time.
Qualifications and experience
- B.E., B.Tech, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering; the education section separately specifies Diploma as required.
- 1–5 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, earthing, and cable sizing.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred tools
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, or Dialux is an advantage.
Compensation
- Pay is ₹20,000–₹35,000 per month.
