Architectural Design and Planning
- Prepare architectural concepts, schematic and detailed designs, construction drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Coordinate layouts with structural, MEP, and interior design teams and finalize drawings before submission.
- Ensure designs meet client requirements, project budgets, UAE regulations, and accessibility requirements.
Authority Approvals and Regulations
- Prepare architectural drawings and documents for authority submissions and maintain knowledge of DM, DDA, Trakhees, DCD, and other relevant authorities.
- Coordinate approvals, comments, and NOCs; revise drawings to meet authority requirements.
- Comply with the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code and Dubai Building Code.
Project Coordination and Documentation
- Handle multiple projects, coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal engineering teams, and attend design coordination meetings.
- Monitor deliverables and project timelines; report progress, design issues, and delays to management.
- Prepare and review IFC, tender, and authority-submission drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and specifications.
- Maintain drawing revision records and prepare schedules, material specifications, and relevant BOQ inputs.
Site Supervision and Client Work
- Visit sites to verify work against approved drawings and coordinate technical issue resolution with site engineers and contractors.
- Review finishes and workmanship, identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and assist with snagging and handover documentation.
- Meet clients, present proposals and concepts, incorporate feedback, and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
Team Coordination
- Guide junior architects and draftsmen, allocate design and drawing tasks, and review team deliverables.
- Coordinate with other engineering departments and support the Design Manager with schedules and deliverables.
Pay
- AED 5,000–7,000 per month.
Work Location
- Work is in person.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of relevant authorities, including Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, and Dubai Civil Defence.
- Ensure designs comply with UAE building regulations, the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, Dubai Building Code, and accessibility requirements.
- Coordinate architectural work with clients, consultants, contractors, and structural, MEP, interior design, and other engineering teams.
- Review drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, specifications, and team deliverables for accuracy and quality.
- Guide junior architects and architectural draftsmen and allocate or review their work.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate resolution of architectural technical issues and quality concerns.
