Architectural design and planning
- Prepare architectural concepts, schematic designs, detailed designs, and construction drawings.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and details that meet client requirements, project budgets, and UAE regulations.
- Coordinate layouts with structural, MEP, and interior design teams; review and finalize architectural drawings.
Authority approvals
- Prepare drawings and documents for authority submissions; coordinate with relevant authorities and follow up on approvals, comments, and NOCs.
- Apply knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Dubai Development Authority, Trakhees, Dubai Civil Defence, and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, Dubai Building Code, and accessibility requirements; revise drawings to address authority comments.
Project coordination
- Handle multiple architectural projects and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal engineering departments.
- Attend design coordination meetings, provide technical solutions, monitor deliverables, and report progress, issues, and delays to management.
Drawings and documentation
- Prepare and review IFC, tender, and authority submission drawings; review shop drawings, material submittals, and architectural specifications.
- Check drawings prepared by architectural draftsmen for accuracy and consistency; maintain documentation and revision records.
- Prepare architectural schedules, material specifications, and relevant BOQ inputs.
Site supervision and quality control
- Visit sites to verify architectural work against approved drawings and coordinate with site engineers and contractors on technical issues.
- Review finishing materials and workmanship, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with snagging inspections and project handover documentation.
Client communication and team coordination
- Attend client meetings, present proposals and design concepts, and incorporate feedback while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Recommend practical, cost-effective design solutions and manage design changes.
- Guide junior architects and architectural draftsmen, allocate tasks, review deliverables, and coordinate with other engineering departments.
- Support the Design Manager in maintaining project schedules and deliverables.
Work arrangement
- Work location is in person.
Pay
- The description states pay of AED 5,000–7,000 per month.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Dubai Development Authority, Trakhees, Dubai Civil Defence, and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure design compliance with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code, Dubai Building Code, and accessibility requirements.
- Ability to coordinate architectural layouts with structural, MEP, and interior design teams.
