Overview

Zahr Freighters is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team in **Dubai**.

This role is ideal for an aspiring accounting professional who is eager to develop their career while supporting financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities in a dynamic freight and logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.
  • Process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and expense claims.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and verify financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
  • Support VAT-related documentation and compliance activities.
  • Assist with internal and external audit preparations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to collect and verify financial information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience; fresh graduates with strong accounting knowledge may also apply.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
