Junior Accountant

**Location:** UAE

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions.
• Prepare and process supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer ledgers.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts.
• Monitor project costs, subcontractor payments, and expense allocations.
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Assist in VAT calculation, filing, and compliance as per UAE regulations.
• Maintain petty cash records and expense reimbursements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required accounting documents.
• Assist in payroll processing and employee expense claims when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Experience in an Interior Fit-Out, Construction, Contracting, or Engineering company is preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or ERP systems).
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of project accounting and job costing.
• Experience handling subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Familiarity with LPOs, BOQs, progress billing, and retention accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN UAE FOR 1 TO 2 YEARS ONLY IN INTERIOR COMPANY INUAE
