Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper with **UAE experience** to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the finance function.
Experience
with **Mycom** (or similar ERP/accounting systems) is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts & Bookkeeping
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system (Mycom preferred)
- Maintain and update general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements, cash accounts, and supplier statements
- Assist with monthly closing processes and financial reporting
Payables & Receivables
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments
- Maintain proper documentation and filing for all transactions
Cash & Revenue Control
- Verify daily sales reports and reconcile with POS systems
- Monitor cash handling procedures and highlight discrepancies
- Assist in implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records for audit purposes
- Support VAT documentation and reporting requirements
Operational Support
- Coordinate with operations team for invoice verification and cost control
- Assist in inventory costing and stock variance checks
- Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
Skills & Requirements
- **Minimum 2–3 years UAE experience** in accounting/bookkeeping (hospitality experience preferred)
- Experience with **Mycom** is highly preferred (or similar ERP/accounting systems)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills in English
Working Conditions
- **6-day work week** (as per UAE hospitality industry standards)
- Based in Dubai (Jumeirah)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
