Job Description The role of a Junior Accountant involves assisting the finance team with daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting the overall financial management of the organization. As a Junior Accountant, you will collaborate with other accounting professionals to process financial data, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and analytical skills are crucial. You will help the accounting team ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, providing a solid foundation for the organization's financial health.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior accountants in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments in accounting systems.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized and updated financial records for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
• Support the preparation of budget and financial forecasts per company guidelines.
• Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with statutory regulations.
• Report on financial data trends to help guide company financial decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless transaction processing and reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for financial analysis and reporting purposes.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal control systems and processes.
• Provide support during audits by gathering documentation and answering inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Proven knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is essential.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiar with accounting software applications.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience or internship in accounting is an advantage but not mandatory.
