Supervise and coordinate joinery work at the workshop and/or project site.
Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Supervision and coordination
- Supervise daily joinery and carpentry activities and coordinate carpenters, joinery workers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, designers, and other trades.
- Plan daily manpower, materials, tools, and equipment requirements.
Drawings, production, and installation
- Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural drawings, and specifications; ensure work follows approved drawings and project requirements.
- Monitor production and installation progress to meet project schedules.
- Supervise installation of doors, wardrobes, kitchens, wall paneling, decorative woodwork, counters, furniture, and other joinery items.
Quality, materials, and safety
- Inspect finished work for required quality and workmanship standards; coordinate snagging and rectification for timely completion.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of materials and finished products; monitor usage and minimize wastage.
- Ensure workers follow company safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Records and issue reporting
- Identify and resolve site or workshop issues affecting production or installation.
- Maintain daily records of manpower, work progress, materials, and site activities.
- Report delays, defects, material shortages, and technical issues to management; train and guide workers on workmanship standards.
