Job purpose
Ensures accurate job card costings, verifies parts and labor charges, and prepares invoices for internal, insurance, and customer jobs.
Monitors pending job cards, reports discrepancies, and coordinates with estimators and workshop teams to support accurate pricing and timely invoicing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate job flat-rate times are available for each job and distribute job cards to the workshop.
- Monitor workshop workload and available hours; schedule and allocate jobs based on customer needs, delivery schedules, and the skill matrix.
- Monitor on-time completion, update repair status, and estimate additional work.
- Inform service advisors of delays or additional repairs and advise revised delivery times.
- Plan overtime with foreman feedback and manager approval; coordinate with stakeholders and optimize manpower and facility use.
- Monitor technician efficiency, allocate service-contract vehicles according to guidelines, and ensure quality checks pass before repair-order closure.
- Verify parts and labor charges, prepare invoices, monitor pending job cards, and report discrepancies.
Qualifications and experience
- Graduate degree or three-year diploma in automobile or mechanical engineering.
- Three years in a similar role or five years of workshop-floor experience.
- Computer skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
