About This Role
Manage and reconcile an intricate inventory of precious Gold and Diamonds, ensuring accurate valuation and tracking to prevent discrepancies.
Prepare detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, specifically tailored to the jewellery industry.
Handle sales and purchase transactions, including complex international transactions, accounting for duties, taxes, and currency fluctuations.
Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and transactions
Track and value inventory (gold, diamonds, finished jewellery)
Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) and pricing margins
Handle accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements
Assist with audits and implement internal controls to prevent loss or fraud
Monitor metal rates (e.g., gold price fluctuations) and adjust valuations accordingly
Work closely with sales and inventory teams to track stock movement
