Role overview

Senior Java engineering role focused on mission-critical enterprise backend applications and services.

Mandatory skills

  • Java 8+, backend unit testing with JUnit, data structures, microservices, and REST APIs.
  • Multithreading and concurrency, OOP concepts, JPA, Hibernate, Kafka, and GitHub.
  • Spring Boot and Spring Security with JWT.

Additional skills

  • AWS S3, Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Auto Scaling, Load Balancing, and Amazon API Gateway.
  • Docker fundamentals and Kubernetes, including Google Kubernetes Engine.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • Define API contracts, service boundaries, and integrations; build reusable backend components and enterprise services.
  • Optimize performance using caching, asynchronous processing, database tuning, and JVM optimization.
  • Own module delivery from design and development through testing support and deployment readiness.
  • Conduct code reviews and apply secure coding, engineering, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Design event-driven systems and asynchronous communication for scalability and resilience.
  • Improve CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and deployment automation.
  • Troubleshoot production and performance issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
  • Mentor junior developers in coding, debugging, and Java practices.
