Role Overview

Lead enterprise application architecture and modernization initiatives using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native practices.

Work with engineering, leadership, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.

Experience and Mandatory Skills

  • 8–10 years of experience.
  • Mandatory skills include Java 8+, backend unit testing with JUnit, data structures, microservices, REST APIs, object-oriented programming, JPA, Kafka, GitHub, MongoDB, Oracle, Spring Boot, and Spring Security with JWT.
  • Mandatory competencies include Java multithreading, messaging technologies, MongoDB, design principles, Spring Boot, Oracle database design, source-control platforms, and JPA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise application architecture strategy using Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
  • Lead modernization, framework selection, cloud-native adoption, distributed systems, and API-driven architecture.
  • Establish engineering standards, governance, reusable frameworks, and secure development guidelines.
  • Lead engineering teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Implement scalability, observability, security, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical discussions, and modernization initiatives.
  • Design enterprise messaging and event-driven architectures.
  • Align engineering initiatives with leadership and enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Drive DevOps, CI/CD automation, cloud-native engineering, and containerization.
  • Identify technical risks and architectural gaps and define mitigation strategies.
