IT Support Engineer
About This Role
Job Title: I.T. Support Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming IT service requests via calls and the ITSM system, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve or escalate issues following ITSM best practices and SLAs.
- Administer Active Directory, user authentication, authorization, and configuration of directory services.
- Deploy and update software, hardware, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility across LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Maintain company servers, backups, and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), ensuring secure connectivity and high availability.
- Oversee network and system security, monitor performance, and implement patches, upgrades, and intrusion prevention measures.
- Create and update SOPs and Knowledge Base articles, maintaining accurate records of incidents and operational procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, train colleagues, and ensure end-user satisfaction through timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, proactively enhance technical skills, and recommend system or process improvements.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Provide onsite IT support for construction and remote project locations, including CCTV and other site technology systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- 3 or more years of hands-on I.T support experience, preferably in a construction or contracting environment.
- ITIL Foundation, Technical Certification (Microsoft or Cisco or Fortigate, etc).
