The Vietnamese-speaking IT Project Manager leads remote software development operations from the Dubai office and works with engineering, product, and management teams.
The role manages a remote development team, delivers software projects on time and within budget, and oversees site operations, suppliers, and office setup.
Responsibilities
- Manage remote developers through task allocation, performance follow-up, and daily coordination.
- Plan software projects from scoping through release, including deliverables, timelines, and resources.
- Organise workflows, maintain project documentation, and review code, architecture choices, and estimates.
- Oversee office administration, recruitment support, and coordination with local service providers.
- Source and negotiate suppliers for IT hardware, software, licences, and network infrastructure.
- Manage budgets, track costs, report progress, and mitigate risks or escalate blockers.
- Ensure compliance with IT security, quality, and data protection standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–7 years managing IT or software development projects.
- Hands-on Python experience and solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, budgeting, planning, and stakeholder management.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required; detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English; native or fluent written and spoken Vietnamese.
Preferred qualifications
- Remote or offshore development team management experience is a plus.
- Procurement and supplier negotiation experience, including IT equipment and office fit-out, is a plus.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum certification is a plus.
Compensation and employment
- Full-time position.
- Pay is AED 10,000–12,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person at the Dubai office.
