IT Operations Analyst– HPE Non-Stop Operations

Opportunity

What you will do

• Provide technical support for RBC’s global HPE NonStop environments on a 24/7/365 basis.
• Handle fault and incident management, problem escalation, and change management.
• Run and monitor batch processes.
• Recommend process improvements and automate message suppression, toil, and manual tasks.
• Support continuous improvement and excellent client service.

Must-have qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; determine stakeholder and project communication needs.
• Strong understanding of technology and/or financial services.
• Learn new tools and systems quickly, apply new knowledge, and transfer knowledge to others.
• Manage expectations with teams, management, and clients and deliver on them.
• Strong knowledge of HPE NonStop (Tandem), IBM iSeries, or NSK technologies and operating systems, plus Unix, AIX, Linux, network, distributed systems, and console-based technologies.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Moogsoft, ITIL Foundation, and mainframe platforms and tools including TSO/ISPF, VSAM, Endevor, File-AID, Xpediter, and SPUFI.

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large publicly traded corporation.
• Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision-makers.
• Strategic thinking and interpersonal skills for working across functions and businesses.

Work arrangement

• The posting lists the RBC Centre address in Toronto and states 37.5 work hours per week.
