The SRO Operations environment includes HPE NonStop, mainframe, network, and distributed systems operations.
The team supports business clients and service partners globally and strengthens its 24/7 support model through automation and improved monitoring.
What you will do
- Provide 24/7/365 technical support for RBC’s global HPE NonStop environments.
- Manage faults and incidents, escalate problems, and support change management.
- Run and monitor batches; recommend process improvements.
- Automate message suppression and manual tasks to reduce toil.
- Provide excellent client service and support continuous improvement.
Must-have qualifications
- Demonstrated written, oral, and presentation communication skills, including assessing stakeholder and project communication needs.
- Strong understanding of technology and/or financial services; ability to learn tools and systems quickly and share knowledge.
- Ability to manage expectations with teams, management, and clients and deliver on commitments.
- Strong knowledge of HPE NonStop (Tandem)/IBM iSeries/NSK technologies and operating systems, Unix/AIX/Linux, networks, distributed systems, and console-based technologies.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, Moogsoft, ITIL Foundation, and mainframe tools including TSO/ISPF/VSAM/Endevor/File Aid/Xpediter/SPUFI.
Nice-to-have qualifications
- Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large publicly traded corporation.
- Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers; strategic thinking and interpersonal skills across functions and businesses.
