Lead IT and digital transformation across manufacturing sites in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, reporting to the COO.
The full-time role focuses on factory-floor efficiency, automation, real-time decision-making, and integration of IT with manufacturing operations.
The role is described as a high-impact leadership position rather than a maintenance-only role.
Key responsibilities
- Lead transition from legacy systems to a modern cloud-first environment and shape the technology roadmap.
- Integrate IT with production through IoT, automation, and shop-floor tracking; improve how manufacturing data is captured and used.
- Optimize cloud ERP, ideally Epicor, for inventory visibility and manufacturing analytics.
- Migrate on-premises servers, storage, and PABX infrastructure to secure cloud platforms.
- Build scalable IT models and plug-and-play deployments for temporary project sites, remote locations, and multiple sites.
- Lead a lean team, work with vendors, and solve operational bottlenecks to prevent downtime.
What the employer is looking for
- At least 8 years of IT leadership experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or fast-paced logistics.
- Strong shop-floor technology exposure, including ERP integration, barcode or RFID solutions, and automated reporting.
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with SD-WAN networking for remote sites and modern VoIP or UCaaS solutions.
- A proactive, transformation-oriented leader who can combine strategy, execution, and hands-on problem-solving.
Location and reporting
- The role is based in Dubai, UAE and covers multiple sites in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
- Reports directly to the COO.
