IT Manager

Role summary

Responsibilities

• Develop IT strategy, policies, procedures and technology roadmaps; report IT performance, risks, projects, budgets and improvements to senior management.
• Manage servers, networks, cloud, data centres, devices, communications, enterprise applications, Microsoft 365 and cloud services.
• Lead cybersecurity, access control, data protection, vulnerability management and incident response; ensure system availability and security.
• Oversee IT support, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Deliver system implementations, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure expansions; evaluate technology improvements.
• Manage vendors, telecom providers, system integrators, contracts, licensing, procurement, budgets, service levels and IT assets.
• Support technology across offices, properties, facilities and project sites; ensure compliance with information-security and data-protection requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the internal IT team.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive IT experience, including experience in an IT management or leadership position.
• Strong experience across infrastructure, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, cloud services and IT support.
• Experience managing ERP systems and business applications; knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory and Windows Server.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, wireless networks, backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience managing IT budgets, projects, vendors, contracts and service-level agreements; developing IT policies and governance standards.
• Strong project-management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management and team-leadership capabilities.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in real estate, property development, facilities management, construction or hospitality.
• Experience with property-management, leasing, facilities-management or real estate ERP systems.
• ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft, Cisco or equivalent professional certifications.
• Experience managing multi-site IT environments; knowledge of CCTV, access-control, building-management and smart-building systems.
• Previous work experience in Qatar or the GCC region.
