About the Role:
Al Tief Educational Institute (AEI) is seeking a highly motivated and versatile IT / Computer Science Teacher who can deliver high-quality instruction across multiple international curricula while also contributing practical expertise in web development. The ideal candidate will be capable of teaching students from the secondary level through to diploma-level programs, including emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence and advanced IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in ICT and Computer Science across GCE / GCSE / IGCSE, A-Levels, IB and other international curricula as required
- Teach foundational to advanced topics, including: Programming (e.g., Python, Java, or similar), Computer systems and networks, Databases and information systems, and Artificial Intelligence fundamentals (for diploma-level students)
- Provide academic support and exam preparation strategies for students
- Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and proficiency levels
- Conduct one-on-one and small group sessions as needed
- Assist in curriculum planning and resource development
Web Development Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites
- Support internal digital projects and learning platforms
- Integrate modern web technologies into teaching where applicable
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience in international curricula (UAE experience is an advantage)
- Strong knowledge of IGCSE / A-Level Computer Science and ICT syllabi
- Experience teaching or exposure to AI and advanced IT topics at the diploma level
- Proficiency in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; frameworks are a plus)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or license
- Experience with international programs
- Industry experience in IT or software development
