The company describes an inclusive culture focused on collaboration, growth, flexibility, and improving health worldwide.

Role Overview

The role owns enterprise data architecture across the full pharmaceutical value chain.

The position combines architecture strategy, data modeling, semantic standards, governance, and delivery leadership.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

  • Own conceptual, logical, and physical data models and canonical entities such as Product, Molecule, Study, Patient, Site, Batch, Customer, and HCP.
  • Harmonize master and reference data across business units and eliminate silos, duplication, and divergent standards.
  • Embed IDMP, CDISC, HL7 FHIR, ISA-95, GS1, and Allotrope standards into the architecture.
  • Define bounded contexts, domain ownership, data products, and contracts for the domain and data mesh operating model.
  • Encode models, metadata, lineage, and catalog standards into Databricks Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, and the Enterprise Data Marketplace.
  • Deliver governed and discoverable data products for analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI workloads.
  • Establish architectural guardrails, modeling standards, review boards, and compliance with GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, and 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Advise business and IT leaders on data strategy and transformation roadmaps and mentor technical staff.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 8 years of architecture experience, including at least 4 years in pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
  • Enterprise data modeling, ontology engineering, and semantic modeling experience.
  • Domain-Driven Design and Data Mesh or Data Fabric experience at enterprise scale.
  • Databricks Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, Delta, and Azure experience.
  • Experience with Erwin or dbt, OWL, RDF, SPARQL, and graph platforms.
  • Data governance and catalog tools such as Purview, Collibra, or Alation, plus Kafka or API integration.
  • Knowledge of CDISC, IDMP, HL7 FHIR, GS1, TOGAF, and DAMA-DMBOK standards.
  • Stakeholder leadership, mentoring, strategic thinking, and delivery focus.

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge-graph implementation for drug discovery, clinical insights, or real-world evidence is beneficial.
  • Experience enabling GenAI, RAG, or agentic AI through semantic layers and ontologies is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with FAIR, Pistoia Alliance, and Allotrope Foundation initiatives is beneficial.
  • An advanced degree in computer science, bioinformatics, life sciences, or a related field is beneficial.

How Teva Supports Employees

  • Teva describes annual leave, reward plans, flexible working schedules dependent on the role, health support, and opportunities to contribute to the community.
  • The Twist career platform provides learning programs, short-term projects, and internal growth opportunities.
