Inventory Control / Logistics Officer (Dental Industry Only)

Role purpose

Education

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, engineering, or a related field.

Required skills and experience

• Experience in inventory control, warehouse, or logistics operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock auditing, and reconciliation.
• Experience in logistics, shipping, and import coordination.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
• Strong organization, record-keeping, attention to detail, prioritization under pressure, communication, and coordination.

Preferred background

• Background in dental, medical-device, or other regulated manufacturing is preferred.
• Warehouse setup experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with imports and local distribution is preferred.
• Hands-on Odoo ERP experience and knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance standards are preferred.

Inventory and warehouse operations

• Manage daily inventory of raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished goods; maintain stock records and raise replenishment requests.
• Track fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical items; organize, store, and label materials.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks; investigate discrepancies, damages, and losses.
• Maintain warehouse safety and compliance standards.

Logistics and coordination

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials; coordinate import shipments and documentation with freight forwarders and clearing agents.
• Arrange and oversee local dispatch of finished goods.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Finance to keep materials available and operations running.

Reporting and warehouse setup

• Prepare inventory and logistics performance reports; reduce excess stock, shortages, and unnecessary costs.
• Design warehouse layouts with racking, bins, and flow paths; set up storage, tracking, location coding, and labelling systems.
• Define receiving, storage, issuing, and shipping processes; create warehouse maps and inventory procedures.
• Support selection of equipment and racking systems, ensuring a safe, efficient, and scalable setup.
