The role involves identifying test scenarios, executing tests using pension calculation software, verifying results, and following up on anomalies.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with functional leaders and business analysts to define test scope and criteria.
- Analyze technical documents and configuration specifications to identify critical scenarios.
- Execute calculation tests, verify results, and document anomalies.
- Maintain and enhance the test suite based on new features and system modifications.
- Participate in calculation reviews and team meetings to validate configuration accuracy.
- Collaborate with development, actuarial, and business teams to resolve issues.
- Propose improvements to verification and testing processes.
What you bring
- University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance.
- At least 4 years of relevant defined-benefit pension plan administration experience.
- Experience in calculation verification and/or pension plan calculation system implementation.
- Proficiency with pension calculation software and advanced Excel skills.
- VBA programming knowledge is an asset.
- Organizational skills, priority management, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and professional rigor.
- Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
Work arrangement
- The position is described as 100% remote.
Compensation
- Salary range is CAD $65,000–$85,000; no pay cadence is specified.
