Interior Fit out Coordinator

Role overview

Education and experience

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in interior fit-out and joinery.

Project coordination duties

• Coordinate with Sales on new enquiries, project requirements, scope of work, and related documentation.
• Assist with initial project budgeting, BOQs, cost estimates, and commercial preparations.
• Coordinate concept drawings, contract drawings, technical submissions, and design requirements.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, production coordination, and progress monitoring.
• Coordinate design, procurement, production, and site teams to support project execution.
• Follow up on materials, sourcing, purchase orders, deliveries, and availability with procurement.
• Maintain records of materials, deliveries, stock, drawings, approvals, and project documentation.
• Assist with billing, invoices, payment follow-ups, variations, and budget updates.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Monitor project progress and report delays, technical issues, material requirements, and risks to the Project Manager.
• Prepare progress, cost, and coordination reports; support site teams and conduct site visits when needed.

Skills and knowledge

• Understand fit-out materials, construction methods, drawings, specifications, and project execution procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other MS Office applications.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
• Understand BOQs, material requirements, procurement coordination, project documentation, and variation management.
• Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to coordinate multiple activities and meet project deadlines.
• Residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, or similar fit-out experience is preferred.
