Role overview
Prepare structural steel fabrication, shop, and erection drawings using AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural and structural drawings and convert design concepts into accurate fabrication and erection drawings.
- Prepare connection details, material take-offs, cutting lists, and other technical drawings as required.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams to resolve drawing and technical issues.
- Revise drawings based on engineering comments, site requirements, and project changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved designs.
- Maintain accurate drawing documentation and ensure drawings are issued correctly and on schedule.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a structural steel company, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and engineering drawings, with a good understanding of steel sections and fabrication details.
