The Intelligence and Data Analyst Development Programme is a structured 5.5-year pathway designed to develop fully trained Intelligence and Data Analysts.
Analysts turn complex, incomplete information into insights that inform investigations and help teams understand threats, risks and opportunities.
The pathway includes structured training, guided practice and varied postings; postings are assigned according to business need.
Training and postings
- Begin with four months of full-time, office-based training in analytical techniques, data, advanced tools and open-ended problem-solving.
- Complete a two-year initial posting in an analysis delivery team, working with complex datasets and producing intelligence products.
- Complete one or two further postings, potentially in investigation delivery, training or tradecraft development.
- Build skills in coding and querying, share knowledge with peers and contribute to improving analysis methods.
Pathway expectations
- Commit to the 5.5-year structured development pathway; postings are assigned rather than chosen and may vary with business need.
- Be prepared and able to work at either Central or West London locations.
Training location
- The initial four-month training period is full-time and office-based.
- Postings may be based in Central or West London.
