Institutional Investment Operations Associate - Reconciliation

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support institutional trade lifecycle operations, client onboarding, payments, funding, custody, settlement, asset servicing, structured loans, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Resolve confirmation and ISDA-related issues; gather data and investigate reconciliation breaks using root cause analysis.
• Perform and oversee daily reconciliations across CIB products and systems and develop end-to-end knowledge of trade flows.
• Coordinate with Operations, Technology, Business, and Control teams to resolve issues and support audits, compliance, and documentation.
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities, escalate risks and trends, lead surveillance projects, and follow up on inquiries.

Required qualifications and skills

• At least 6 years of institutional investment operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Experience in Capital Markets / CIB Reconciliations and a strong understanding of trade lifecycle and trade flow.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and advanced Excel skills.
• Open to shifts supporting APAC, EMEA, USA, and Canada as applicable.

Preferred tools

• Alteryx, SQL, or Xceptor knowledge is a plus.
• SMARTS, Actimize, or similar trade surveillance system experience is a plus.

Schedule

• Shift availability may be needed for APAC, EMEA, USA, and Canada coverage.
