Installation Engineer
Role Overview
Manage installation projects from sales and installation handover through completion and handover to the client and maintenance.
Lead and manage the installation team to deliver KONE solutions safely, to required quality and schedule, and within budget.
Act as KONE’s customer and stakeholder interface during fulfilment and support sales tender activities when requested.

Role overview
Manage installation projects from sales and installation handover through completion and handover to the client and maintenance.
Lead and manage the installation team to deliver KONE solutions safely, to required quality and schedule, and within budget.
Act as KONE’s customer and stakeholder interface during fulfilment and support sales tender activities when requested.
Site supervision and delivery
- Account for installation project delivery, site safety, environmental management, and project financial results.
- Validate customer order terms during sales and installation handover with the salesperson.
- Plan materials, tools, site storage, and orders to subcontractors and non-KONE suppliers.
- Prepare sites, follow up on readiness, and ensure correct KONE installation methods are used.
- Coordinate site activities with accounts payable and controlling in line with contractual payment terms and actual payments.
- Ensure final equipment testing and handover to maintenance.
Customer, subcontractor, and team management
- Maintain customer satisfaction and installation quality; oversee subcontractor quality and safety performance.
- Serve as the customer’s installation contact and manage internal and external project communications.
- Develop site operatives, manage individual and team performance, and organize, communicate, and motivate the installation team.
- Identify field operative training needs and manage training plans.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation with contractors, clients, and stakeholders; leadership skills for managing on-site teams.
- Excellent verbal and written English and Arabic.
- Attention to detail for design, safety, and regulations.
