KONE is seeking a Business Development Specialist for its Modernization Business in the UAE, based in its Dubai office.
The role develops opportunities from the UAE’s ageing base of KONE and other-brand elevators and escalators.
Focus segments include infrastructure and public-private partnership projects.
Responsibilities
- Find new opportunities aligned with short- and long-term business goals.
- Manage complex business development projects and support focus segments such as infrastructure and PPP projects.
- Implement growth opportunities across business lines, including Advanced People Flow solutions and People Flow planning and consulting.
- Drive turnaround of low business performance in a specific business area.
- Manage complex analysis, development, and implementation projects.
- Maintain networks inside and outside KONE to share best practices and understand future requirements.
- Leverage external companies to shape business and operations.
Professional requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, finance, or engineering.
- Knowledge of modernization scopes, elevator safety codes such as EN 81-80, and UAE authority requirements.
- Established network with UAE developers, building owners, facilities management companies, and government entities.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- At least five years of proven success in business performance and development.
- Understanding of costs, business principles, and risk management.
- Knowledge and experience qualifying, structuring, and negotiating with business partners.
- Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and develop relationships in a complex team environment.
