KONE is seeking a Business Development Specialist for its Modernization Business in the UAE, based in its Dubai office.
The role finds growth opportunities in the ageing base of KONE and other-brand elevators and escalators and supports focus segments such as infrastructure and PPP projects.
Business development activities
- Identify opportunities that position KONE competitively and support short- and long-term business goals.
- Manage complex business development projects and support priority segments, including infrastructure and PPP projects.
- Drive cross-business-line or organization-wide implementation of growth opportunities, including Advanced People Flow solutions and People Flow planning and consulting.
- Turn around low business performance in a specific business area and manage complex analysis, development or implementation projects.
- Maintain a network inside and outside KONE, including developers, building owners, facilities management companies, consultants and government entities.
- Leverage external companies to shape KONE’s business and operations.
Professional requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, finance or engineering.
- Knowledge of modernization scopes, elevator safety codes such as EN 81-80, and UAE authority requirements.
- Established network with UAE developers, building owners, facilities management companies and government entities.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- At least five years of proven success in business performance and development.
- Understanding of costs, business principles and risk management.
- Experience qualifying, structuring and negotiating with business partners.
- Ability to communicate and work with varied stakeholders and build relationships in a complex team environment.

- The role is based in KONE’s Dubai office.
