AECOM seeks an experienced Civil Inspector for a major roads and infrastructure project in Dubai.
The role inspects and supervises project works to ensure compliance with specifications.
Site inspection and delivery
- Review contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, health and safety measures, and updates.
- Check contractor compliance with contract standards and specifications.
- Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Track contractor resources, health and safety, equipment, materials, tests, completed works, and milestones.
- Prepare daily reports covering work orders, deliveries, and inspection schedules.
- Apply site instructions, quality controls, and procedures; conduct measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels.
- Coordinate client inspections, monitor QA/QC, help resolve site problems, and assist with contract-compliant correspondence.
- Monitor start-up, commissioning, handover, and inspection conformity with contract documents and submitted plans.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
- At least five years of experience on similar projects, including at least three years in the UAE; UAE experience is mandatory.
- Relevant experience in comparable infrastructure and roads projects.
- RTA approval is preferred.
Workplace
- The role is on-site in Dubai.
